The 17th annual PBPS Talent Showcase was held on Saturday-Sunday, Sept. 20-21 at The Lion's Lair, 2107 Kirkwood Avenue in

Big Rick & the Bombers will perform a set at 11:30
Saturday night, followed by an open jam (so bring your guitar, harp, drum
sticks, etc.). The Finals start at 8:00 pm on Sunday night.
Three finalists will be selected from each qualifying round, with the resulting six bands competing in the final round.
First place winners will represent the PBPS
in Memphis at the annual International Blues Challenge, presented by the
Blues Foundation. First place winners will also receive automatic booking
at next year's 18th Annual Carolina "Lite" Blues Festival. The highest
rated North Carolina band will receive a booking at next year's Bull Durham
Blues Festival.
Cash and prizes will be awarded to the second and third place finishers.
