Gaile Welker:   2004 Keepin' The Blues Alive Award Winner

Gaile Welker, a longtime supporter and promoter of authentic Piedmont Blues, was awarded the annual Keepin' The Blues Alive award on Saturday, May 8th, 2004 at the 18th Annual Carolina Blues Festival.

This award is presented every year at the festival by the Piedmont Blues Preservation Society to an individual who goes above and beyond the call to help support and preserve the blues in the Piedmont.
